I2C backpack for alphanumeric LCDs 1602 (16×2) and 2004 (20×4) with the HD44780 controller. It uses a PCF8574 expander to reduce GPIO usage to two (SDA/SCL), includes a contrast trimmer and backlight control, and mounts on the LCD’s 16-pin header.
