The seven-segment display (also known as a 7-segment LED display) is a way to represent numbers in electronic systems. It consists of seven segments that can be individually turned on or off. Each segment is shaped like a short line. It can be compared to writing numbers using matchsticks.

!!!WARNING!!! - LEDs must always be connected individually in series with a resistor to limit the current passing through them. Otherwise, they risk being damaged.
