Description
Electret microphone module for sound detection, featuring onboard comparator and adjustable sensitivity. Useful for clap/whistle/snap detection and for triggering microcontroller inputs based on acoustic events.
Features
- Electret microphone with onboard pre-amplifier.
- Trimmable potentiometer to adjust threshold/sensitivity.
- DO (digital) output – toggles when the threshold is exceeded.
- AO (analog) output – voltage proportional to the audio level.
- Status LED indicating trigger state.
- Works with 3.3–5 V controller boards (Arduino, ESP, etc.).
Specifications
- Frequency response: approx. 100 – 10,000 Hz
- Sensitivity: −46 ± 2 dB (0 dB = 1 V/Pa) @ 1 kHz
- Minimum detectable sound level: ~58 dB
- Supply voltage: 5 V (typically also operable at 3.3 V)
- Outputs: AO (analog), DO (digital with comparator)
