Product Description

SRD-12VDC-SL-C is a compact electromechanical relay, ideal for DIY projects and light industrial applications. With a 12 V DC coil and SPDT contacts (1 Form C), it safely switches loads up to 10 A on both AC and DC. The standard blue housing and well-known pinout make it easy to integrate on development boards, relay modules, or in breadboard/PCB assemblies. It’s the classic choice when you want to electrically isolate logic (the microcontroller) from a larger load—motors, solenoid valves, LED strips, power supplies, etc.

Practical tips:

• For 3.3 V microcontrollers, use a transistor with sufficient gain or a logic-level MOSFET.
• For EMI protection, add an RC snubber on the contacts for AC inductive loads and a TVS on DC loads.
• If you prefer additional isolation, use an optocoupler between the MCU and the transistor.
