5-Way Navigation Button Module + SET/RESET (Arduino compatible)

This module provides a 5-direction tactile switch (Up/Down/Left/Right + Center press), similar to a digital “joystick”, plus two dedicated buttons: SET and RST (Reset). It is ideal for menus, simple user interfaces, robots, IoT projects, or any application where you need fast control via buttons, without analog components.

The outputs are digital: when a button is pressed, the corresponding direction pin is connected to COM (common), making it easy to read using a microcontroller’s inputs.

COM – common (GND or VCC, depending on the chosen wiring)

• UP, DOWN, LFT, RHT, MID – directions + center click
• SET – set button
• RST – reset button

Wiring recommendations

• Easiest: connect COM to GND and enable INPUT_PULLUP on each signal pin (Arduino). When pressed, you will read LOW.
• Alternatively: connect COM to VCC and use pull-down resistors (you will read HIGH when pressed).
